Amazon main image requirements (2000×2000)
Amazon’s main image usually wants a large square (often 2000×2000) with the product filling most of the frame on a plain background. Resize cover-crops to exact pixels; Cutout helps when you shot on a light studio wall.
Pixel target
Aim for at least 1000px on the longest side; many categories benefit from 2000×2000 so zoom works well on desktop. Use Resize → Marketplace size → Amazon main 1:1 to cover-crop to exact 2000×2000 without uploading files.
Background & framing
Main images typically need a pure white (or near-white) background with the product occupying most of the frame. If you photographed on a light seamless, Cutout can knock out the studio backdrop, then Border or a white fill keeps the Amazon-friendly look.
After the main image
Lifestyle and detail shots can stay rectangular. Compress lightly if your catalog ZIP is huge, Sharpen soft phone photos, and Watermark secondary images if you share packs with agencies — keep the main image clean without logos.
